During the last leg of the 2itch tour on our way from Atlanta back to Jacksonville, we decided to stop by the Atlanta State Farmer’s Market which is open 24 hours a day, 364 days a year (closed Christmas day). It’s located in Forest Park, GA just off Highway 75. According to their fact sheet, it’s one of the largest markets in the world with 150 acres of farm fresh goodies and appoximately 3,500 patrons each day. The setup is definitely interesting–you can just drive your car through the stalls and park your car next to the vendor you want to purchase from. It’s a pretty busy place with Mariachi music blasting from boomboxes at every turn, echoing through the metal roofed stalls. It does seem like you have to buy your produce in bulk since it looked like everything came in large boxes. There are also plant vendors as well as spices, toys, decorations, etc. It was really an amazing place. There are actually numerous farmer’s markets such as this across the southeast, but apparently this is the largest. I know on the west coast I have never heard of anything like it.
Check out this clip of us driving through just ONE of the many stalls in the market. It’s so big that you can’t walk around it… you literally have to drive your car through it. It’s drive through shopping at its best.

I really like the fresh perpective you did on the issue. Really was not expecting that when I started off studying. Your concepts were easy to understand that I wondered why I never looked at it before. Glad to know that there’s an individual out there that definitely understands what he’s discussing. Great job!
