Bova’s Bakery Open 24 Hours in Boston, MA

Wow, a bakery open 24/7?  I wish we had one of those in LA… but alas, we do not.  Too bad  I didn’t know about Bova’s Bakery when I was visiting  Boston a couple of years ago–I would  have definitely hit it up late night for some desert heaven.  Bova’s is located in the North End district, which is also known as Boston’s Little Italy.  They’ve been whipping up fresh baked breads, ricotta filled cannolis, tarts and eclairs for three generations.  Some of their other specialties include sfogliatelle and lobster tails, as well as cream puffs filled with homemade whipped cream.  If you’re in the mood for something savory, they also have hand-baked calzones and Sicilian style pizza.

After reading various reviews on this place, it seems to be a local favorite… but mostly because it’s open 24 hours.  I read a bunch complaining about the cannolis being left out and soggy and the Sicilian pizza being reheated in the microwave when you order it–gross!  But the cupcakes and coconut cake seem to be a hit with lots of Yelpers.

All us 2itchers know that we don’t have the best food choices late night, so we gotta take what we can get!  Maybe Bova’s isn’t a godsend, but it does give us sweet treats around the clock which is sometimes all you need to put a little smile on your face…

As the editor of 2itch.com, I get to find all the places across the nation that are open up way past my bedtime. I'm a wanderer by nature, so finding late night grub, coin-operated racquetball, and slushies in the middle of the night has been a lot of fun for me. And I'm sure there's a lot of other wanderers out there who would find this information useful... so enjoy and drop me a line when you find some cool 24 hour places of your own.
