I am a lover of bacon and whenever I think the restaurant looks worthy enough I will try their BLT. When I found out about this BLT with applewood smoked bacon, avocado, and swiss on toasted rye bread I figured my mouth would be watering all the way from LA to Miami. I’m actually drooling as I write this!
Eleventh Street Diner, in South Beach Miami is open 24/7 and offers an incredibly extensive menu even into the wee hours of the morning. Breakfast is served all day, all night and there’s even a full bar available until midnight Monday through Wednesday and until 5am Sunday through Thursday! After perusing their online menu, the highlights for me are the BLT (of course), the Greek burger with cucumber, feta, black olives, and pepperoncini, and the “voted best in Miami” Southern Fried Chicken. There’s also a number of drink items and desserts on the menu with the Peek a Boo Delight catching my eye (Warm chocolate filled fondant with vanilla ice cream for $5.25). The late night menu offers less options, but still a good variety of hot and cold sandwiches, entrees, burgers, and desserts are available. The prices are not reminiscent of a typical greasy spoon, with dishes ranging from $9-$15. Regardless of cost, if I am ever in South Beach, I WILL be devouring that BLT… guaranteed.
