What a fantastic find! While spending a few summer days in Savannah, we stumbled upon Parker’s Market on our leisurely drive back to our spooky (but awesome!) hostel that we stayed at in Savannah. Being in the heart of the historic district, we drove back to the house each night winding through parks and squares. The last night we were there, we got a little turned around, found Parker’s, and decided to stop by since it seemed they were still open (despite the fact it was after midnight). Some folks were sitting in the dark row of tables outside, and some were pumping gas, while others perused the selection of gourmet wines and treats inside. This place is perfect for that late-night foodie in you (we found out they’re open 24 hours–sweet!) I actually picked up a bottle of Kung Fu Girl Riesling that I have been trying to find for months in California. Unfortunately, I was only able to snap one picture before the manager stopped me. Even after explaining what the photographs were for, he still refused to let me take more. So check out their official site for more details. Apparently the market is a concept owned by Parker Companies, which also runs a number of convenience stores, laundromats, and gas stations across Georgia and South Carolina.
